SomPower was incorporated in 2016 by local
investors after amalgamating over 35 standalone Electricity Service Providers
scattered all over the city, where each used to power a certain segment of
Hargeisa city. The overall objective of the amalgamation was to increase the
efficiency of service delivery to customers and to direct resource allocation
and deployment from one centralized point. Currently, SomPower provides
round-the-clock electricity to customers without any hitches of a single point
of failure by introducing a series of redundant systems that can back up the
main feeder lines. The tremendous growth of SomPower has hugely contributed to
the Socio-Economic development of the country and the betterment of many lives
as 24/7 economic activities are no longer a mirage but a reality in
the city and its environs. Being the largest Electricity Service Provider in
the country means, the company is also one of the largest employers in the
country. The company intends to recruit a result-oriented highly motivated
person to fill the exciting and challenging position of Human Resources
and Admin Manager who will be reporting to the CEO of the company.
