Purpose Provide
technical support and leadership in the design, implementation and evaluation
of an integrated community-based health care programme and budget at the Branch
level aimed at providing quality healthcare to address the needs of vulnerable
communities. Coordinate and supervise the operations of the out-patient and
mobile outreach clinics to ensure delivery of high quality maternal and child
health services, including immunization, nutrition, HIV/Ads, health and hygiene
promotion and epidemic response. Review
and monitor implementation of health programme activities and submit periodic
update reports in line with health policy and donor requirements Essential
Duties & Responsibilities Technical
Leadership & Programme Implementation • Conduct participatory needs assessment to
identify community health needs and set priorities and develop a capacity
strengthening plan to improve the health condition of vulnerable communities • Provide technical support and leadership
in the design, implementation and evaluation of an integrated community-based
health care programme at the Branch level per the approved budget and scope • Coordinate and supervise out-patient and
mobile outreach clinics to ensure delivery of high quality maternal and child
health services such as safe motherhood, immunization, nutrition and HIV/Aids • Coordinate the requisition and receipt of
adequate drugs and medical supplies for distribution to outpatient and mobile
clinics in order to ensure availability of medicines to avoid stock-outs • Implement effective community-based
participatory approaches and methodologies and ensure that effective behaviour
change strategies are employed to promote hygiene and sanitation initiatives • Coordinate and supervise home visits to
inform and motivate families to improve hygiene and living conditions through
information sharing, dissemination of communication materials • Review and monitor implementation of
health programmes to determine whether community needs are being addressed and
prepare periodic reports in line with health policy and donor requirements BHO part of job
after work division. This applies only areas with DBHO · BHO will hold health file (OPD, RH,
EPI and ALMANACH) · BHO is also responsible field
supervision and field report · HR/clinic staff file including leave
plan, recruitment participation and performance appraisal are under the
responsibility of BHO · BHO is responsible Health monthly narrative
report · BHO will follow up DHIS2 data entry
and cleaning after head nurse enter data · BHO is responsible to follow up of
EWARN data Operations
Management • Provide support to the development,
implementation and evaluation of the Branch health programme annual work plans
and budgets line with strategic priorities • Identify capacity-building needs of the
health team and volunteers and ensure they are properly trained and well
supported to implement programme activities • Work closely with procurement and
logistics to ensure availability of adequate medicine and related supplies in
order to avoid stock-outs Strategic
Partnerships & Donor Relationships • Develop and enhance relationships with
strategic partners, donors, local authorities, and humanitarian actors to
maximize support for humanitarian response • Represent SRCS in relevant conferences,
seminars, workshops and meetings to conduct periodic review of health programme
activities • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirement: Demonstrate proficiency in Somali and English languages 3-5 years’
relevant experience in implementing an integrated health program consisting of
maternal and child health, immunization, Relevant
Experience nutrition, HIV/Aids as well as health and hygiene promotion within a
