Organizational Background
The Marginalized Inclusion Network (MIN) is a Somali-led organization committed
to advancing the rights and inclusion of marginalized and minority groups
across Somalia. MIN’s mission focuses on promoting equality, dignity, and
access to justice for vulnerable populations—especially women, children,
and persons with disabilities—through advocacy, protection, and resilience
programs.
2. Position Summary
The GBV Specialist will lead the design, implementation, and coordination of
Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response initiatives within
MIN’s programs. The role involves providing technical expertise,
strengthening community-based protection mechanisms, and ensuring
survivor-centered Coordinate with the GBV
Sub-Cluster, Protection Cluster, and relevant government and NGO partners.

Develop GBV-related project proposals, reports, and donor communications.

Ensure compliance with GBV standards, data confidentiality, and ethical
reporting.
·
Promote community engagement and advocacy to address harmful practices
and gender inequalities.
· Lead planning, implementation, and monitoring of GBV prevention and response programs.
· Provide technical guidance on GBV case management, psychosocial support, and referral systems.
· Integrate GBV risk mitigation across MIN’s other sectors (Health, WASH, Livelihoods, and Education).
· Build capacity of MIN staff, community structures, and partners on GBV principles and survivor-centered approaches.
Skills and
qualifications

Qualifications and Experience
·
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Law,
or related field.
·
Minimum 5 years of experience in GBV programming in humanitarian or
development settings.
·
Strong understanding of GBV guiding principles, international standards,
and coordination mechanisms.
·
Experience working with marginalized and minority communities in Somalia.
·
Excellent facilitation, training, and communication skills.
·
Proven track record in proposal writing and donor reporting.
·
Fluency in Somali and English (both written and spoken).
