customer-friendly, and detail-oriented Cashier to manage sales transactions,
handle payments, and provide excellent service to our customers at the point of
sale. Purpose of the Role The purpose of the Cashier position
is to facilitate accurate and efficient handling of cash and non-cash payments,
support smooth retail operations, and contribute to a welcoming shopping
experience for customers. The role includes receiving payments, issuing
receipts, maintaining accurate cash records, and ensuring the cleanliness and
organization of the checkout area. The cashier also plays a key role in
customer satisfaction by maintaining a helpful and professional attitude at all
times. Key
Responsibilities Sales and Customer Service · Handle customer transactions
accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system. · Warmly welcome the customers and
respond to inquiries courteously. Branch manager job · Issue receipts, refunds, and handle
returns in accordance with company policy. Cash Management and Recordkeeping · Maintain accurate records of cash,
credit, and mobile money payments. · Count the cash drawer at the
beginning and end of shifts and report any discrepancies. · Deposit collected revenues with the
Branch Supervisor/Finance Office daily. Product Handling and Coordination · Ensure the checkout area is clean,
organized, and well-stocked with shopping bags and receipt paper. · Report low stock or customer
complaints to the branch supervisor. · Support the team with labeling and product
arrangement during low-traffic periods. Skills and qualifications Cashier position Required Qualifications and
Skills · Completed secondary education;
diploma or certificate in accounting, business, or retail operations is an
asset. · Minimum of 1 year of experience in
retail cashiering or similar customer service roles. · Strong numerical skills, attention
to detail, and basic computer literacy. · Familiarity with POS systems and
mobile payment platforms. · Professional, trustworthy, and able
to maintain confidentiality. · Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure. Working
Conditions ü Work Location: One position is
Jigjiga yar Branch and other position is at Airport road Branch. ü Working Hours:
Full-time; 6 days per week (Saturday to Thursday), with shifts assigned based
on operational needs. ü Work Environment: Front-facing
retail setting; frequent interaction with customers and team members in a busy,
