non-governmental organization that addresses the diverse needs of women and
girls through a holistic approach centered around sports, arts, networking,
education, and overall wellbeing. The organization provides a safe, inclusive,
and empowering environment where women can realize their full potential as
healthier, more confident, and well-connected individuals. Ubah Inspire was founded in response to the critical need
for safe spaces that support women’s physical and mental wellbeing, foster
personal growth, and encourage meaningful social connections. Through its
tailored programs, the organization promotes social coexistence, social
cohesion, peaceful communities, and sustainable development by empowering women
to become active participants and leaders in their societies. About the EU
project: “Kick Start for Equality Using Sports and Arts” is a
four-years EU funded project implemented by Plan International in partnership
with local implementing partners – NAFIS and UBAH Inspire. The aim of the
project is to advance human rights and strengthen social cohesion through
community sports and arts engagement in Somalia, with a particular focus on
young women and girls. Based on the work of both Plan International (Plan) and
Plan International Somalia (PIS), this action also capitalizes on the
experiences of the co-applicants, Network Against Female Genital Cutting in
Somaliland (NAFIS) Network and the women-led Ubah Inspire Initiative
Organization, in working with local communities on social cohesion and girls
and young women in sports. The objective of this project is to contribute
to the promotion and protection of women and girls’ rights and to increase social
cohesion and dialogue within the vulnerable youth communities. And it aims at
achieving 2 broad objectives. 1: To support civil society and duty bearers in the
protection and promotion of women and girls’ rights. 2: To increase social cohesion and dialogue within
vulnerable youth communities. Output two (2) promotes the empowerment of girls and
women to address social issues identified in IDP settlements and their host
communities. It will support initiatives aimed at increasing their
participation in sports and arts by establishing a pilot program in schools and
scaling up the capacity of the Ubah Centre to use sport as a safe space among
young women and girls and by expanding the pool of female coaches through
training and PSS support. Digitalization and social media will be utilized to
create safe spaces for girls and women to share their social/gender related and
peacebuilding issues and promote human rights through influencers and
activists. Key risks under this output include influence of religious leaders
to prevent school and national level sports tournaments, campaigns associated
with the presidential elections disrupt activities, safeguarding and protection
risks and insufficient number of female coaches available Objective of the assignment This primarily aims that the female football coach/trainer
is to provide a theoretical, practical guidance and physical trainings for the
selected ToTs. The trainer will provide training guideline and carryout a
training session to build the coaching and referee skill of the 2 women ToTs. Scope of work

Timeline The coach/trainer is expected to work and deliver the above
deliverables in a period of 20 days commencing from the date of the contract
signed. the Coach will prepare the materials on her own areas of residence for
given period of time and will be stationed in Hargeisa for the
actual training days. Duration & Location The consultancy will be for 20 days, including 10 days of
on-site work in Hargeisa. The coach will prepare materials remotely prior
traveling to Hargeisa for the training sessions. Qualification and
experience UBAH Inspire is seeking an experienced and internationally
certified FIFA female football coach with: Strong expertise in both theoretical and practical football
coaching and refereeing. Proven ability to train women ToTs and facilitate
international standard certifications. Experience in training guideline development and capacity
building for Grade C and D coaches. Excellent communication skills in Somali and English. How to apply Interested candidates who meet the

- The female football coach/trainer will be responsible for:
- Developing a training guideline based on existing resources
that are suitable for Grade D and C coaching and refereeing skill improvement.
- Conducting theoretical training on the rules and regulations
of football coaching and refereeing.
- Delivering practical training sessions to build practical
coaching and refereeing skills.
- Ensuring compliance with international football regulations
(FIFA, CAF, CECAFA and other relevant football governing bodies).

Selection Criteria
for the Coach
- The ideal candidate for the female football coach position
should meet the following requirements:
- Internationally certified FIFA/CAF football coach with
proven coaching experience.
- Strong knowledge and technical expertise in both theoretical
and practical football coaching and refereeing.
- Experience in training, developing coaching guidelines, and
capacity building for coaches Grade C and D.
- Ability to support ToTs in obtaining required certifications
for international-standard coaching.
- Proficient communication skills in Somali and English.
- Prior experience in working with women’s sports programs and
grassroots football development.
- Expected Impact of the Training
- The training program aims to:
- Enhance the technical capacity and knowledge of football
coaching of 20 female ToTs.
- Increase women's participation in football coaching and
refereeing.
- Improve gender inclusivity in sports and establish safe
spaces for women in football.
- Provide long-term sustainability by expanding the pool of
female football coaches in Somaliland.
- Strengthen local and national networks for women's football
development.
Key Deliverables
- Development of a detailed and simplified training guideline
for women's football coaching and refereeing.

- Submission of a final report outlining key achievements and
recommendations.
