Job description

Network Administrator Summary:

The Network Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's networking infrastructure. This includes local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), internet and intranet systems, and network segments. The role ensures efficient, secure, and stable network connectivity for all users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and support networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Maintain and monitor network performance, ensuring optimal speed, reliability, and security.
• Design and implement network solutions to meet organizational needs, including LANs, WANs, and VPNs.
• Monitor network traffic and resolve bottlenecks or security breaches using monitoring tools.
• Manage network configuration backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to support and upgrade network services.
•  Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
• · Implement and enforce network security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control protocols.

Skills and qualifications

Network Administrator Summary:

• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in network administration.
• Education: Bachelor or Master’s Degree in IT. Relevant certifications including CCNA, CCNP Certifications, and CompTIA Server+/Linux+. Any proven technical skills will be considered as an additional advantage.
