Skills and qualifications

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

·         An advanced university degree (master’s or higher) in education, psychology, sociology, or other social science field is required

·         At least 5 years of experience in development, humanitarian, or resilience program with an NGO or UN agency, complemented by minimum 1 year of work experience with a significant involvement in monitoring and evaluation

·         Demonstrated experience providing inputs to project planning, implementation and reporting, with preference for this experience in education projects

·         Demonstrated capacity to collect data and use it in analysis, reporting, and to inform project design

·         Capacity to develop and maintain positive partnerships with other organizations, agencies, and government counterparts

·         Commitment to using a teamwork approach, including ability to keep collaboration and communication

·         Good ability to use Microsoft Excel and other office-based software, with experience using online data collection forms (Kobo, Google) considered a significant benefit

·         Ability and willingness to engage in field missions

·         Fluency in Somali and very good ability in English language, both speaking and writing

·         Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
